Regional training titled “Course on Sustainable Development” was held in Budva, Monte Negro, on 6^th and 7^th of May 2009.

Training was held within the Western Balkans Environment Programme, implemented by UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) within the following six countries: Serbia, Monte Negro, Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Aim of the training was to additionally develop the capacities of organizations and institutions involved in environmental monitoring, through their mutual exchange of experiences. The training was designed for representatives of government, non-government and business sector from the beneficiary countries of UNDP Environment Programme, actively involved in its implementation.

The participants had the opportunity to exchange their experiences and opinions about the following topics:
- general principles of environmental monitoring,
- techniques and standards of environmental monitoring, and
- field monitoring.

Centre for Development and Support was particularly pleased to attend this exceptionally useful training and to gain the knowledge and new experiences that will surely applied to all environment activities currently implemented by this agency.
