Installation of 50 solar collectors (surface 100 m2) with necessary system is the project worth 104.000 KM, implemented with the funds of MDG-F „Environment protection and climate changes“, Tuzla municipality and Ministry of urban planning and environment protection of TC. Project implementation, system production and installation process were managed by the Centre for Development and Support Tuzla.
With installation of this solar system and new boiler capacity 2.500 litres, sport and cultural centre Mejdan will generate annual savings of about 13.000 KM, and 61.776 kWh from the aspect of energy efficiency.
"This solar system is entirely the product of Tuzla brains, in development and design of technical details, as well as production and installation. This way of work will enable employment of numerous experts of different profiles. We believe in Tuzla, a city which has had a leading role in BiH and in wider area since the beginning of its existence, in many nice and positive issues. That leading role is re-affirmed with the use of solar, non-polluting energy, which is free and will not be used up for a long period of time", said Alenka Savić, the executive director of CRP, while addressing the guests.
Centre for Development and Support demonstrated once again that use of renewable energy sources is possible and that effects are visible, measurable and on the right road towards the energy efficient city.
The MDG-F Programme Environment and Climate Change: “Mainstreaming environmental governance: linking local and national action in BiH” is a three-year programme funded by the Spanish Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund which is being jointly implemented by five UN Agencies: UNDP, UNV, UNEP, FAO and UNESCO, in partnership with the BiH Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs, the RS Ministry of Civil Engineering and Ecology, the RS Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water-Management, the FBiH Ministry of Ecology and Tourism, the FBiH Ministry of Agriculture, Water-Management and Forestry, the participating municipalities and civil society organizations. |
